  1. I noticed that on my PC (which so far has installed the DivX5.2 codec), AutoGK creates not much beautiful DivX AVIs, while it creates very nice XviD movies.

DivX quality looks like if I had set, on my DivX 5.2 codec, the "encode performance" = standard, while the best quality is given for "encode performance = slow.

I saw that on new DivX6, the encode performance 'standard' is now the MOST PRECISE, while the encode performance 'standard' was a little worse, in DivX 5.x.

Could someone explain me if the not too high quality of the AutoGK DivX5 encoding is due to the fact that it uses 'standard' performance that is optimal for DivX6 but not very beautiful for DivX5?
If this is the reason (I cannot find other reasons, since all AVI movies I made using XviD 1.0 and 1.2 are very good) can I instruct AutoGK to use well DivX codec, or I will be forced either to upgrade up to DivX6 or to stick to XviD?

Many would argue that it is simply because Xvid is a far superior codec to Divx 5 and even Divx 6

  3. The DivX5 movies I'm able to make by myself are far more superior than the ones created by AutoGK.

You can customize AutoGK to get the quality that you want. Anything that you can do on your own using DivX5, you can do with AutoGK using DivX5. You should also see a difference by switching to DivX6.
