He only cares about Apple's stock price. If he cared about the consumer, he'd offer the DRM-free EMI tunes at the same price.

Instead, he's graciously offering what amounts to nothing more than a surcharge (dare I say a tax) to permit copying. ($1.29 vs $0.99 in the US).

actually the non-drm files are a higher bitrate than the $.99 ones. so it's not just a surcharge.....

I'm actually setting up a website some time in the near future that addresses this "myth" about the mac series of computers.

You see when someone becomes so rabidly fanatical, as in any intense emotional state, the ability for rational decision making dwindles and in this situation allows dellusion and self-denial to become rampant to feed a belief no longer tied to reality or fact . To the observer the sufferer seems to frequently blatantly lie...

Your basic math needs refinement too:
- Mac with smaller drive/RAM = $2700
- HP with more drive/RAM, usually larger monitor too = $1250 avg price (sales happen all the time, more than monthly, many stores to choose from)
Again, half as much for twice the price.

Just as blind as Steve Jobs thinking his hypocritical statements will be fully respected, given his attachment to closed hardware/software environments (much the same as DRM/devices/music).

He can't overcome the facts that even with INTEL ( who mac fanbois loved to slag off... but surprise suprise thats all stopped now...if your GOD says something he is never wrong, your own cognitive functions are WORTHLESS!) Conroes in the archaic set up ( can anyone say 'bottleneck'?).
With ALL factors FAIRLY considered Macs are a rip off for the majority with sanity still intact(ie thats why Macs are still niche market despite all the spin + hyperbole and brainwashed fanatics).So a blatant ignorant lie is essential to maintian his dellusion;

Third question how often do you buy a new windows computer? I know for a FACT most (~80%) of mac users don't upgrade that often, most mac last 4+ years. Where the average windows user upgrades their computers every 15 months.

Its HARDLY a FACT if the ability to perform a task is restricted( like with Macs that are designed anti-upgrading so Apple gets a better turn over of DIRECT Profit rather than it going to hardware manufacturers etc) it wont happen much - see such excessive emotional intensity leads to logic free thinking.

JUST because smthg CAN last 4 years doesn't mean it can be PRACTICALLY used for that long.If most Apple comp owners use something as outdated as 4 year old Macs then i expect they'll be driving around Cars with 10 year old technology OR are Mac consumers more gullable and brain dead than i had previously thought possible?

"Pre-emptive multitasking" is a perfectly valid - and recognized - term. The term implies that the OS uses "pre-emption".

Jobs was the only one with the "Mac creds" to push through the switch to Intel. He saved the company. I suspect the IPod was somebody else.

Could you please not add to what i wrote.....
