Hi, I'm not sure how to get SSC to reset my R210. The Ink and Paper lights are blinking alternatively and if memory serves me right, thats the one to change the pads.

So I open SSC Service Utility, check the configuration and close, right click on it and select Reset Counter -> Reset all Counters. It returns the following message: For Your printer model, reset counters functions are provided for special purposes only. Please, use ink freezer functions instead! Click OK, new window "done" click OK. Problem still there.

Am I suppose to use one of the Ink freezer functions?
    - Store Counter Values
    - Restore values back
    - Autmatic freezer
    - New Cartridge installed

I've tried Extra -> Soft Reset

    Appreciate your help.

There is one other choice for resetting the waste ink counter. Reset and it should ask you if you have changed the pad. You answer yes and click. Then turn off your printer and re start. I do hope you have done the MOD for the waste ink tube so that the waste collects in an outboard bottle. If you have not, your waste pad might indeed need replacing.

    Thanks Jtoolman.

Funny you should mention the waste pads, when that first came up I decided that the printer is probably just about rooted and I'll just use the printer until it leaks ink and replace it. Now its got around to the pads again and it still hasn't leaked ink. Wonder if anyone else has done this?

Another question is what printers are comptable with R210 ink cartridges? At around AU$2 each, I'd rather stay down that path. I don't suppose the R230 is R210 ink compatible.

Got it, it was the reset counters function. It took me a while to get it to work because it kept getting a communication error.

This is the second ink pad reset, with replacing the ink pads, the base of the printer must be a pool of ink, it will be interesting to see how much longer it lasts.
