Im using pinnacle studio 9. I've imported a DVD captured from our sony dcr-dvd 705 (using video format recording) but when i edit it theres no audio. the software prompt me to purchase a dolby 2CH encoding but to our status purchasing it is not an option. the studio 9 recognized the file when i changed the file ext. name to mpeg but still no audio. i tried to convert it to mpg using IMTOO MPG Encoder but the voice did not match the action..

Seems that your sound is in DD 2ch. format and since this functionality is not enabled in your Studio you won't be able to edit with sound. You may try Womble MPEG Video Wizard DVD trial as it has DD built in. It should be fully functional for 30 days.
