I recently bought an Olevia 532 H LCD, overall I am happy with the tv, but one major problem I have noticed is with the remote sensor. I consistenly have problems with the tv responding when using the remote to change the channel, input, or turning the unit on/off. I often have to press the buttons twice or more to get the set to respond. Another problem I noticed is sometimes the tv does not correctly decipher what button I am pressing (ex when trying to reach channel 108, it will register has 100, etc). I recently bought a Harmon/Kardon TC 30 remote hoping that would resolve the issues but it has not, leading me to believe the problem is with the remote sensor in the unit itself. Has anyone else experienced similar problems with Olevia sets? Can anyone offer advice as to how to remedy this situation?

Just an update to the situation. I called Olevia's customer support number and spoke to (gasp) an American who was very friendly and referred me to tech support, where again I spoke to an American, who again was very friendly. I described the problem and after a few minutes he determined I should be sent a brand new tv, no fuss, no muss. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at how easy this process was, and I am pleased they are sending me a brand new set without much of a hassle at all. Above and beyond that, it was nice to speak to American's on the phone, I thought that had gone the way of the dinosaurs. I have grown very weary of having to speak to someone in India or Pakistan all the time!

Very cool, good to know they're customer service is so great. I have the same exact tv and I've noticed that sometimes the remote can be troublesome also. It takes quite a few seconds for the set to change between inputs too. But I'm only using two buttons on the remote anyway (volume and source) so I can live with it.
