    I have tried to add subtitles to an movie using the program "Avisubtitler" but when i finished the movie was without sound. How can i fix this problem ?

    Thanks for the link.My other question is : If i have movie split on two parts what i should do first - to join the files and after that to add the subtitles or first to add the subtitles and after that to join the files ?

    Yes ... what a pain that is ... oh , you want to know how ...

    I actually prefer to split the subtitle for each half ... may even need to convert it for visualsubsync .

    Get it aligned using visualsubsync , then save that out , then process second half .

    How you want to join them is then another choice ... avi to avi (vdub or other) or avi to dvd (avi2dvd , other ... or my way).

    This way there's no screw up with audio sync , or misalignment with sub in second half ... stuff I can do without .

    ============

    That tool also mentions "Avi file must not contain errors" ... so if there's any internal problems in the avi , it might cause the problem you experienced ... gspot for checking internal info of avi's .
