    Hi everybody,
I'm trying to convert with ffmpegX (0.0.9x r2) a trasport stream file registered with a Dreambox, but there is no way to do it. I've tried the same file with other presets (iPod mpeg-4 480W and XviD ffmpeg) with success.

The info on the progress application says:

    x264 [info]: final ratefactor: 47.25
    usage: movtoway -o output.wav movie.mov

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, someone have an idea.

    Thanks

    Update:

I've found out that this is happening when I use the x264 codec, with ffmpeg or mencoder everything is fine.

Any idea why and how to correct it?

    Thanks

I still don't get it I've tried different configuration but no way, the progress application starts and in less the a second it says "finished". The error is always the same:

ERROR: Could not open movie: /Users/carlo/Movies/Bean2.ts

    Why? The movie is there!!!

  4. This process is using Quicktime to read the input file, so if your Quicktime Player cannot open the TS file the same will happen to ffmpegX. I suggest to use MPEG Streamclip to extract the TS file as MPG. You will still need the Apple mpeg-2 player component to read mpeg-2.

Thanks major, infact the TS file cannot be opened by quicktime, I've converted it with MPEG Streamclip to MPEG, then I've tried again but there was a problem with the audio part, here is the log file:

    -----------

Apparently ffmpegX does not recognise the audio after converting it with MPEG Streamclip!!! Tried 2 more times but always the same result

So I've done it again from scrath (from the original TS) only this time using "H264 [MP4] (ffmpeg)" and everything went fine.

    Thanks again
