I can not get Mplayer OSX and ffmpegx to play and convert 640x480 real videos (.rm) properly. They will play and convert 320x240 Real (.rm) files fine. I believe this play back problem for 640x480 causes ffmpegx not to properly convert these properly.

When playing a 640x480 .rm file in ffmpegx or Mplayer OSX (both use mplayer to read and play the file), I get 2 shrunk versions of the 640x480 video, one in the upper left and right, with the bottom half blank. Additionally, I get a heavy green cast over the full video.

In trying to solve the problem I have focused on the mplayer real libs. According to the ffmpegx docs and other posts here on MacFixit, there are 3 sources for the real libs.

1) Download the real libs from sourgeforce
2) Copy the Helix codecs from the package contents of the RealPlayer
3) Download the codecs from the Helix site.

I have tried all 3 and no success.

Searched the forum.videohelp.com forum, and found nothing on point. At a loss what to try next. Suggestions?
