I have an existing DVD that I made, but inserted the wrong subtitle in one of the titles. Is there an easy way to just remove the existing subtitle and put in the new one easily? I'm primarily using DVD-Lab Pro for authoring.

  2. Hi-

In principle it's pretty easy. Get the subtitle in SUP format (Subtitle Creator, maybe). Demux with PGCDemux, reauthor using Muxman, replacing the wrong sub with the right one. Don't forget the celltimes.txt (chapters). Open the original DVD in VobBlanker and Replace the one with the wrong sub with the one with the right sub.

Or, if you prefer to use DVDLab, reauthor just the one title with it, replacing the sub (and chapters, but you won't need a menu). Then do the Replace in VobBlanker. The VobBlanker step gets you back your menus and anything else that might be on the DVD.

Consequently, I have to create my own subtitle in order to mount in the DVD?
    Does it exist finished ones?

I don't know. You're the one that said you put the wrong one in. Where did you get it? Is there one in your language at the same place? Did you check other subtitle sites for subs in your language? If one's never been made, then I guess you will have to create it, if you want it.

    Does it exist finished ones?

    How should I know?

No, I meant the existing subtitles are wrong, or should I say: impossible to interpret.

I was wondering if I can download finished subtitles, and later on mount them intoo a DVD movie.

Finished? As in SUP subtitles? No, I don't think so. Maybe in IDX/SUB format, which is almost ready for DVD. Most of the subs on subtitle sites are in some sort of text based format (SRT, SSA, and the like), and have to be converted into something else before being put into the DVD.

If you have good subs in a text based format, it should be fairly easy to get them into a DVD. Since I don't use DVDLab Pro, though, I can't tell you how to do it using that program.

Hence, I can convert a str file to a sup file, and then mount in my DVD movie?

  8. You're using DVDLab Pro. It accepts SRT format subs. Unless you screwed up somewhere along the way, it should make good subs for you. Maybe your SRT file is no good, I don't know. It doesn't accept subs in SUP format, I don't think. Muxman, Rejig, IFOEdit, and (I think) DVDAuthorGUI accept subs in SUP format.
