  1. Where can I find SVCD subs ?????
    ******************************
I've searched for 3 hourz, without result :/
I need scvd subs to play on my stand-alone dvd player.
It can play svcd+sub, cuz i tested it with the test file from vcdhelp, but .... I can't fnd any subs ..

    Some other questions:
    - Wot format are svcd subs?
    - Where do I have to put that subtitle-file? (which folder on the svcd disk?)
    - Can I also use Divx subtitles for svcd?

You cant put the subs into any directory, they must be multiplexed into the video stream before authoring the disk.

There are two commercial programs which can multiplex subtitles into an mpeg2 stream, Philips Svcd Creator and I-Author. Svcd Creator only runs in NT and is plagued with bugs but I believe it is now free from Philip's web page. I-Author has its own share of bugs but it will run fine in any version of windows however it can only create cvd style subs, which don't work correctly on all dvd players.

There is a new freeware program called submux which can also do this. You can find it at the dvd2svcd homepage, just get there from www.doom9.net. This program can create both cvd style as well as svcd style subs. There is also a gui which makes this program easier to use.

To create the subs use subrip, also found at doom9.net. Rip the subs into Philips svcd creator format for use in subrip, rip into I-Author format if your using I-Author obviously.

Depending on what format your divx subs are in, you may be able to convert them into .sub format for use in submux. Again, doom9.net has info on how to do this.

You may want to check out this post on ttools forumhttp://www.ttoolforum.formativ.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=588&forum=25&21. It concerns using a program called "SubMux (and a GUI) for setting up subtitles in an SVCD and using TSCV and VCDImager 7.12. Provides links to the programs and a lot of helpful info.
