Hi all,
I wanted to make backups of some dvds I had. I put them on my hard drive using Mactheripper, resulting in the video_ts and audio_ts folder structure. I used the "img" function of ffmpegx to make a .img file, which I burned using Disk Utility. The resulting disk would, as far as I could tell, only play through linearly (ie the menus were lost). I also tried buring with Toast, but the video_ts folder is nearly 7GB, so it will not fit on the DVD-Rs that I have.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Burning from VIDEO_TS with Toast 7+ allows you to utilize its Fit-to-DVD video compression, shrinking it to regular DVD-R size.
The presence of menus is just like the ripped output, regardless of imaging or burning app (unless the app has options otherwise). In MTR, only a full disc extraction would preserve menus, if present on the source disc.
