I thought DVDDcrypt was a program that just did decrypting and put the whole DVD on a Bkup DVD.
How can get it to use Shrinkit to put the DVD on my HD and use DVDDecrypt to burn it to a blank DVD. Or do I have to use DVDDecrypt to do the whole thing.

Th burning engine from DVD Decrypter has been re-written and improved in a separate program called Imgburn 2, which is now the recommended burning application for DVD Video.

This page : http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869 will show oyu how to set up Shrink to use Imgburn automatically for burning.

Where is the posting for the recommended bunning and ripping application.

Also why convert it to an image why not copy the movie to your HD and then transfer it to a blank. DVD does putting it to an image improve the video can I get some posts on why this way is better than just using a burning program to put the move on a DVD without conversting it to an image.

I'm not sure what you are after, but here goes.

I use RipIt4Me to rip the DVD to the HDD. It uses DVD Decrypter, FixVTS and DD Shrink to beat the current copy protection measures and load the disc into Shrink. I then use either Shrink or DVD Rebuilder to reduce the size of the disc (or re-author it) to fit a DVD5. I write the results to my HDD, and burn with ImgBurn 2.

I don't create an ISO image file, as ImgBurn 2 can now burn DVD Video (in fact, any files) without the need for the ISO in between. Previous versions of Imgburn, and DVD Decrypter, could only burn ISO files, which was why DVD Shrink and many other programs would create an ISO for you. If you want a nice, simple, one-click shink and burn solution, you will gte an ISO being burned by either DVD Decrypter or Imgburn, depending on which version of Shrink you use. If you are happy to burn manually, you can simply write the results to your HDD as a video_ts folder, and burn with imgburn 2 yourself. Either works, and it doesn't make any difference to the actual image quality of DVD which approach you use.

How is this done in ImgBurn 2.10? Whenever I go to <mode> <write> in ImgBurn, it only allows me to select an ISO for burning... where are you getting the program to accept something other than an ISO to burn?

    You need <mode> <build>

I use imgburn 2 to burn data CDs (avi files for my Divx player) using this method. It does pretty much everything except audio CDs now.

This walks you through it : http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1779

I just burn the Video_TS Folder with ImgBurn using the ImgBurn shell extension.
