hi all....i really need some help here because i'm desperate. i have some home video shot a while back and it's converted to DivX. I don't have the original anymore so all I have to work with is the AVI file.
the problem that i'm having is the horizontal lines in my video (as you can see below), does this have anything to do with IVTC and or interlacing? if so, is there anything that can be done about this...i really do hope so. thank you very much in advance for any/all help.
here's a shot...see what i mean?

If this was shot with a home camcorder, telecine can't be an issue unless you attempted IVTC inappropriately.
It looks like the image was resized without first deinterlacing. Do these lines change with motion? -

It looks like a poorly-done PAL/NTSC conversion. Wait a minute, it's 400 lines. Looks like it has been scaled improperly. Next time you scale it down, de-interlace it first, scale it, then re-weave it (or not).

so in other words...there's nothing i can do to fix this???
F*CK!!!! -
There is no solution for this.
But try temporal smoother on full range, just in case it fixes a bit the situation (but that gonna make the motion look too ghosty)
