I have some mp4 files that I acquired. I was able to convert them to DVD directly using convertxtodvd, but the result looks like widescreen. I prefer full screen. So I googled the question "convert mp4 to avi" which lead me back here, suggesting a number of tools. One that seemed highly recommended was mp4cam. The use-since there was no guide, seemed simple enough.
But after it appears to have reached 100% conversion, the timer keeps on running, and, the resulting file is not accepted by TMPGEncoder plus. Checked file with Video Inspector, it said a codec was missing- Intel hu-264. Downloaded and installed FFShow, which supposedly contains the codec, but Video Inspector still says the codec is missing, and, of course TMPGEncoder plus still won't accept the file.
Can anybody help me out with this? Thanks.
