    Hi!

I've been in the conversion/digital community for awhile but with the advent of creating a media PC have just come to grips with converting to MPEG-4.

When converting DVD's to MPEG-4 I use Fair Use Wizard. But I also need to convert MPEG-2 files to MPEG-4. I downloaded Auto Gordian Knot. It has very good reviews in the Tools section. I downloaded the latest version 2.6 that came out in December.

When I am trying to convert my stream to MPEG-4 I get the following error. "DGIndex is not an Avisynth 1.0 plugin" and it will not proceed to crunch my video.

The version of Avisynth I have is 2.54 which I believe came down in the Auto GK package. Does anybody have any help for me?

    Thanks

    Bill

I got a new and different error after uninstalling and reinstalling Auto GK 2.40. This time I got a Virtual Dub Error. The files I am trying to convert are MPEG 2 files 720x 480 resolution generated by a Hauppauge Roslyn card using Beyond TV Express 4.5. I have not downloaded the original Gordian Knot. Is this something I need to do? The Auto GK I downloaded said it was the whole package.

I'm running a 3.25 Gig Celeron D with 1 GB DDR2533 Ram, a Hauppauge Roslyn MPEG 2 Decoder and an ATI Radeon 9600SE video card with 128Meg on board and TV out.

The board is PC Chips, but all drivers are utd and I am not getting any other issues.

    thanks
    Bill
