AVI FILE WONT WORK NEED HELP

Hi when i open my .avi file in TMPGENC which is a divx movie, it says the avi is unsupported. I know its a compressed avi cause its divx. What should i do? Email swizzbeatz905@Yahoo.com

i get exactly the same prob m8.. a long time ago i used tmpg and it worked fine on every thing i converted but when i formated i didnt work at all ive got all the codecs but stil no luk unsupported just like u :( so i started using panasonic mpg encoder it works does the audio & vidio in 1 no uncompresing at all just put it in and way it goes but it takes longer than tmpg and some times the audio isnt in line with the video so its like its in japaness
