I already completed the hard part and have a VCD compliant file and under 700 megs.
I just want to convert my VCD MPG1 file on a regular CD so it will play in my DVD player. I want to play this file as soon as the unit is turned on without any menus showing up.
My first choice would be Nero. Also, let me know of any other easy quick solutions.
Can anybody point me to the quick solution on this?
Thanks!

I now need to convert it again in order to burn it on a regular CD to play on a DVD player?
There is no way to use this mpg1 file to make it read by a DVD player now? -
just burn it as a data cd on a rw and check on your player. quite a few players can play mpgs without burning them as a video cd.

VCDGear is really easy.
Click "Video-CD"
Select "mpeg to cue/bin"
Start
You can use Nero to burn the resulting cue/bin. -

Do it for each one then it should work by then -

Drag-n-drop your file (making sure you've set the right kind of disc--"VCD") and create. If you have a compatible burner selected (and a blank in the drive), it'll author, compile a backup XML of the structure, compile a bin/cue and burn your disc! (IMHO, it also does a much more thorough job of "ripping" a VCD to standard MPG1 than anything else).
***NOTE: VCD's don't "Autorun" in most DVD players. Not like DVD's can. It's strictly dependent upon the model (and this feature is rare).

With VCDEasy, you'd select the VCD 1.1 (or VCD 2.0) and NTSC (or PAL if appropriate) from the dropdown boxes (it would have already defaulted to theVideoCD Authoring Tool/tab/pane upon opening, and would have remembered the burning options from the last time), drag-n-drop the file, and click [Go]. Done!

There are more features in VCDEasy, which can be confusing.
The burning option never worked for me, I had to use Fireburner.
VCDs, and audio CDs, just start to play on loading in my DVD player, though as you say, that isn't universal. -
I get the following error:
"Unable to open CD-i application files. Check you configuration."Seek, And You Shall Find.
