AVIVO codec from ATI....

I just purchased a new ATI Radeon X1300 card about 2 weeks ago,and let me tell you it works GREAT.It supports the AVIVO codec with it,also came with the card.My question about AVIVO is what exactly does it do,basically what is the full details on it.

P.S.
Im having NO problems with the card,just wanted to no a little info about the AVIVO codec from ATI.

From what I recall, aside from all the info on the link you provided, it is basically there answer to providing a HD output to your display. For normal pc use it is of no major consequence. It is intended primarily for HTPC use and for HD output to a TV/video display.
