  1. Hi first post here got a little problem and not sure what it is, hope you can help if not then thanks for trying .

Basically heres the problem in the lounge we have TV with digital, dvd player and video player. My room tv, video, dvd, digi box, xbox360, upstairs TV, Video digi box, dvd.

So what has happened recently is the lounge video has had problems tracking so we switched videos as we got a version of a old time for my parents to watch that was availble only on video it wouldn';t play on theirs so we switched in the upstairs video down stairs.

Same problem, so we took the upstairs video back upstairs tried it and it worked fine.

So we tried the video on mine in my room same worked perfectly, so we tried moving my video in the lounge and we have the same problem.

And heres another weird thing or least weird to me the lounge video now in my room works perfectly and even plays the video in question.

So my question basically is, isthere something wrong with the scarts? is it the TV in the lounge being a digital and analog combined causing the problem with the tracking?

As the video players work fine out of the lounge on normal TV's,mine a flat screen TV, upstairs the old downstairs TV. But when any of the video players are put in the lounge to play them tracking problems occur and it doesn't play videos. It only plays things that are taped on it. But once out of th eroom they run.

I have no idea whats going on. Hope you can help

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

Agree with Milardo. This sounds like a VHS tape problem. Just guessing here, but you may have a problem with your AC power, though I have never seen that. I can't figure why 'VHS tracking' would be different just because the VCR has moved. The output connections should have no effect on tracking.

If you are not talking about VHS tapes, please clarify.

    And welcome to our forums.

Just thinking , as you moved things all over the place , and more ... what is the tape format ... pal or nstc .

Some recorder's dont support both , and might be the reason behind why the unit in the lounge play's what it record's , but has an issue with this particular tape in playback .
