Hello guys,
i need your help ,
- i've been using ffdshow a long time but since yesterday i had never enabled the subtitles option. Subtitles work just fine but i was curious if i can place the subtitles under the movie (like the option bsplayer gives you) and not inside the movie.
- The reason i enabled the subtitles option is that i have a problem with bsplayer. English subtitles are working gr8 but when it comes to Greek its a pain in the ass. The subs are changing position all the time by themselves (right-left-up-down) and sometimes some parts of the subtitled phrases are not showing at all.
I hope "we" can figure it out since i'm a tv-series/movies freak
Thanx in advance.

Yes, there is an option to change the position of subtitles in ffdshow. Just click on Subtitles and you'll see that you could change vertical and horizontal position.
But I would suggest to try GOM player and KMPlayer - both are better than BSplayer, specially regarding a display of subtitles. -
thx for the fast reply.
the subtitles options given by ffdshow are just not enough. i mean that yes there are some options regarding the position of the subtitles but you can only place them inside the movie and not under the movie. i hoped there was some kind of an extra plugin or sth i haven't noticed. The vertical and horizontal position are not able to place the subtitles under the movie ( by under i mean the black bars ).
edit - btw GOM Player seems nice , Greek subtitles are working just fine -

If necessary - change font size.
Or try Media Player Classic. -
well this do not work. the subtitles are disappearing , they go into "stealth mode" :P behind the black bars. i remember myself checking this a while ago but i did not find a way to make them visible "above" the black bars.
thanx anyway -

My favorite player now is KMPlayer, although I use GOM player and VLC player as well.
