My computer has two DVD drives with the letter D and E. I can see both of D and E from My computer. Because I want to exchange the letter, I went to the Disk Management. But, I could not see the DVD drive D there. I only saw the hard drive C and one of DVD drives E. Do you know how I can retrieve the missing DVD drive in the Disk Management with the Windows XP Pro? I want to exchange the drive letter and then copy the DVD from one drive to another one. Thank you for your answer.

If the Disk Manager cannot see the drive, it means that Windows cannot see it. If you can see it in your Device Manager, then try to re-install the driver. If it doesn't show up here, then I suspect you have a hardware problem. Open up the case and check the cables.

But, I could see the missing drive in My Computer and can run it there without problems. Because I want to change the drive letter, I right clicked the drive in My Computer\Manage\Storage\Disk Management. However, I could not see the drive I want to change the letter in the Disk Management. There is no driver installation required for the DVD drive. Does anyone know what the problem looks like?

There is, but they are generic Windows drivers. You could try uninstalling the drive, then rebooting. Windows should see new hardware and re-install the drive. If this doesn't work...?

And, of course, you DID scroll down, correct?
