  1. I've been able to successfully burn several DVDs (SmartRipper, pulling out the audio, ReMPEG2, and using DVDit to recombine everything onto a DVD).

I have a few DVDs, though, that I only want to keep a few chapters from, apiece. I'd like to merge them into one compilation DVD.

I know how to rip all the files, extract the audio, extract the MPEG2, and use the authoring tool to recombine everything and burn a DVD.

That seems like such a waste, though. I want to keep the original VOB files exactly as they're ripped. Is there a way to manually create the necessary IFO file to link all those disparate VOBs, and simply burn them?

Or is there an authoring tool that will work directly with VOBs? DVDit wants an MPEG2 and a WAV, for example, and it makes the VOB. I'm not interested in doing anything with the streams inside the VOBs, I just want to recombine a bunch of them onto a compilation DVD.

    Thanks!
