    Hi:

I don't know if this question has already been asked and if so I'm sorry but I've search this forum until I'm blue in the face for suggestions on how to make menus and I'm not finding what I need.

    Anyway...

I am interested in software that can make menus that I can than incorporate into existing DVD Authoring applications(Ulead Movie Factory 5Plus). Does such a piece of software exist and if it does where can I get it? If this is possible and I can make my own menu what file format would I need to save the templates in and what folder would I put the finished templates into? Last but not least it should be easy to use.

If such a piece of software doesn't exist I would still like to know how to make and incorporate my homemade templates into the existing software I have now.

I am asking because it seems the majority of the DVD Authoring software only has select(limited) menus to choose from and I would like to make my own from scratch or with pictures of my choosing.

    Thanks,

DVD Menu Studio would be a good choice.

You can then use it with a variety of DVD Authoring software such as the excellent freeware DVDAuthorGUI or more expensive payware programs like DVD-Lab Pro, Ulead DVD Workshop 2.0 and DVDMaestro (an oldie but damn goodie).

Many authoring tools support layered psd files, and quite a few graphics programs will output this format, including Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and others.

I create most of my still menus in photoshop and then import them into DLP. Depending on the package however you may have to follow certain naming conventions and layer orders. DLP thankfully does not have any of these arbitrary restrictions.

FulciLives I will try to download a trial version of DVD Menu Studio and the other software you mentioned that you like.

Guns1inger I have both Photoshop and Paintshop pro and I look forward to experimenting and making my own personal menus.

Thank you both for your help it's much appreciated!
