Ok, well I finally completed my first project. I just wanted to run the process by a few of you to make sure I am doing things the right way, or at least close!
My friend and I shot an open mic night. We did a 2 camera shoot, with one of us doing a wide shot, and the other doing close ups.
My friend uses the JVC GR HD1, while I use my Sony HC-1 HD. We both shot in HD (my buddy believes that even though we will not be rendering in HD, that this will still provide a better quality output). is this true?
The JVC produces a HD picture of 720p, while my camera is 1080i. I imported this all into Vegas 7. For the project settings, I used DV Widescreen. Is this the best one for me?
When I exported, I exported the video to mpeg2 dvd architect video stream. I then exported the audio as .ac3.
I then put the whole thing together in DVD Architect. Video quality of the final dvd is pretty good, although it looks alot better on my pc screen than on the tv (is this normal?)
Well thats about it. Any feedback would be welcome. I appreciate it. And I am looking forward to my next project.
Jeff
