I have just bought a new computer. It has a Geforce 7300 GT graphic card.

It is connected with DVI cable to my Samsung syncmaster 940BW widescreen LCD monitor. I use the following resolution: 1440x900 32 bit

When I watch DVD's via power DVD the movie is REALLY fuzzy. Looks like a bad VHS tape!

I tried to download some HD trailers from apple's website.. and those doesn't look as clear as on my laptop.

    Can anyone assist please???

LCD monitors tend to like or dislike some of the modes your graphic card may be capable of, try different resolutions first.

To start with ... go to manufacturer's site for updated video driver's ... uninstall the old , reboot , install the newer version ... and throw the disk that was supplied with the graphics card out the window ... you never want to see it again .

    Then it come's down to 2 problem's .

One being related to dvd d1 scale vs full pc screen resolution ... the larger the screen resolution is , the more you will notice this problem ... upscaling never improve's on original scale quality ... just degrade's it .

The second last is related to the playback product's ability to decode mpeg2 in a clear manner in normal d1 scale on desktop ... some do well , other's not so well .
