    I've just downloaded vcdgear but I have no idea how to use it. The read me file says you have to type commands into terminal but I'm unsure how exactly how to get it working. Could anybody give any help with using this app.
    I'm trying to convert the .bin / .cue files into mpegs to burn on to dvd.

    May be you should try VCDGearX, same app. with human interface 8)

    If you have Toast, you could mount the .bin file (Finder control-click>Mount), and drop the mounted volume in the Toast window as input file for DVD-Video (Toast Video tab>DVD-Video). It will ignore some non-essential files and take the MPEG stream for conversion. All without using command line tools.
