one of the AA's in my wireless mouse has 'exploded'.
I can never remember if it's baking soda or vinegar that cleans battery acid....

    TIA!!

Baking soda and hot water will work, just use a good cloth and don't get the inside too wet. Good Luck

  3. If that dont work, try some crackers. Makes a nice light snack. But, keep the tums nearby.

rule of thumb to remember. If it sour it is acid. If it bitter (alkaline), it will neutralize acid.

you may already have a problem. your mouse may already shorted out from the acid. If not, the salt from neutralizing the acid may corrode your mouse unless you can wash all of it out with distilled water.

Post some pics please. If it's just stuff all over plastic or did it corrode the battery clip? I'm wondering if this is something you shouls take apart to clean better or if the real problem is damage to the metal clip.

I'll try to get some good ones when I get home....
I can't find any screws or obvious clips -- I don't know if I can take it apart without ruining it, which sucks because it was kinda pricey.

Sometime, they hide the screws behind some kind of warranty warning sticker. You have to break the darn thing before you can unscrew it.
