Hello everyone. I currently have an issue using nerovision express 3. When I preview or actually write a conversion from avi to DVD, the image looks fine untill there is a movement and then the picture becomes garbled with lots of "trails" or ghosting.
I figured this was a codec issue and I may be right:
When I view my files in my regular video viewer (MPclassic), the files play just fine. When I use Nero's video viewer, the files display the same decoding errors symptoms as I posted above which leads me to believe that nero does not use the correct conversion codec but that I do have the proper codec used by another program.
Anyone here could tell me how to fix this issue?

Yes. Use convertx2dvd instead of Nero. Or even better yet: Get a DivX/XviD capable DVD player and be done with all AVI to DVD conversion business once and for all.

Allright, but it so happens that I often dowload various codecs because people will soemtimes use very specific codecs, especially for audio encoding, are xvid capable dvd players upgradable with misc firmwares and codec uplaoding capabilities? Any good dvd player you would recommend?
Thnks for your answers. -
Most DVD players are upgradable, yes, but then again, so far, every DivX/XviD I've come across has played on my player. The worst that could happen would be having to reencode the AVI using AutoGK (which produces 100% standalone friendly AVIs).
Since you're in Canada, and I in Sweden, I doubt the player market overlaps very much, but maybe some Canadian can chirp in with a recommendation? On the world market, the Philips DVP series seems like a popular choice.
