Does your player at all support dual layer recordable disks?
What brand did you use? Verbatim is reported as the only reliable dual layer disks around.
ImgBurn is a better option for burning DVD images to disk.

well here is my dvd player its a bit old so maybe thats reason why

and the duel layer dvd`s I used are RiDisc
www.ridisc.com
do you think its worth trying imgburn to try out another. trouble is these duel layer discs are not cheap -
No idea, actually. DL disks are expensive, yes. If I was you, I'd bite the bullet, and try to shrink this DVD down to DVD-5 size if possible. I managed to do so with my "Who wants to be a millionaire?" disk.

what do i use to shrink down to dvd-5 size this must be 4.31gb yeah on a single layer dvd-r I have dvd shrink but i dont think it will shrink this 7.91gb to a single dvd at 4.31gb or is there anything what will
when i tried to do it just now dvd shrink gave me an error saying out of memory not enough storage is available -
I used DVDShrink. That error message seems like some hardware trouble, like low on HDD/RAM?

I have 768mb of ram and my 3 hard drives free space left is 44gb 30gb and 74gb space free so i cannot see whats wrong I have mounted the img file and in dvdshrink I go to open disc which is the mounted image it starts to analyse but dont get to 2% then pops up with that error is there anymore good programs like dvdshrink

Try ripit4me - may be some kind of copy protection, even if that seems odd for a disk delivered as an img file...

I am also giving dvd decrypter a go so what would you reccomend to burn this when done
-
DVDDecrypter just creates a 1:1 copy, so wont do you much good, but for burning, DVDDecrypter is fine too, only bettered by imgburn (by the same author as DVDDecrypter, but still developed/maintained)

posting this here as posted in wrong place sorry
