I have an AVI movie (Xvid/MP3) in which the audio and video are out of sync. I can correct this for playback with VLC but I want to be able to play it on my standalone DVD player.
I know I could boot into XP and fix it with avimux or virtualdub but is there any OS X app, GUI or command line, that can accomplish this ?

Thanks very much indeed. It took a disconcertingly long time to launch but did the job absolutely perfectly.
