iDVD won't ecode audio, 'not responding' = force quit

Well, I haven't used iDVD in a while and now it doesn't seem to work for me.

OS 10.4.7
iMovie 6.0.3 (267.2)
iDVD 6.0.3 (791)

both are current in sys update. In not using 10.4.8 for no good reason other than everythings working fine until now.

iMovie works ( from my DV camera) makes AIFF, QTmmovies

any ideas from the cognocenti?

iDVD not working properly

if not that, then trash the com.apple.iDVD.plist file, and restart.

works everytime....

Ill get to that a little later today.

iDVD encodes the video ( by their little check box) but then stops working when it gets to the audio encoding

then I have to force quit.

will let you know. takes a long time to make the QT files, am doing that now

nope. still 'jams up' at the audio encoding. it doesn't crash, just stops responding.

I had only one permission to repair. I had two lDVD.plist to dump but did not restrart the computer after deleting the two plists

should I try those permisions again and dump the new plist and then restart?

look under iDVD 6

iDVD takes 10 minutes to nap a little between video encoding and audio encoding. on the app window nothing happens during that time
