    Hi all.

I don't know if this is possible but the question is: is there a way to force the DVD to always play from the beginning every time the viewer inserts the disc on the DVD player?

If yes, the action should be taken while authoring the DVD (in my case, with DVD-lab Pro)? And how is that made?

    Thanks in advance.

You can Prohibit User Operation (PUO) for "Resume" function.
You can do this in DVDLab prior to authoring or you can edit with PGCedit (plug-in required).

...unless the player has a mind of its own, and by default resumes play where it left off, for a DVD it recognizes.

That's the case of my DVD (Philips DVDR 75). It resumes playing exactly at the point I stop watching the film the day before, for instance.

Thanks VirtualDoobMon; I will try that function (PUO) in DVD-lab Pro.

Almost all commercial DVDs have PUO (FBI warning and the like). If your player can skip those, I don't think there's much you can do.
