    Hi,

I used 'Cucusoft AVI to VCD DVD MPEG Creator Pro' to convert and burn my AVI file into a DVD movie.

But when I watch the DVD in my standalone DVD player, the sounds mutes every few minutes.

If I watch the AVI on my computer, the sound is fine.
If I watch my DVD on my computer, the sound is fine.
It's only when I watch the DVD on the standalone DVD player that the sound is messed up.

I also tried a software called AVItoDVD, but i get errors while trying to convert. Then I tried using Roxio, but the DVD player gave me an 'error reading disk' message.

I've tried converting about 5 different avis into dvd and never had success.
I'm a bit of a beginner at this, so any advice is appreciated!

    Thanks,

Sounds like Cucusoft is butchering the audio to some non-standard format. Your PC is much more forgiving and flexible so that's why it plays on the PC.

For most files, convertxtodvd is a good starting software IMHO. If you want to learn the manual process, try http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm .
    If in doubt, Google it.
