Try ImgBurn and check if it sees the drive. If so, you might want to uninstall Nero and run the Nero Clean Tool, then reinstall. http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/Clean_Tools.html

And you might like ImgBurn for many burning tasks. I use it more than Nero at present.

EDIT: Good point that bendixG15 made. If you have an older version of Nero and a newer burner, Nero may not recognize it. I had that problem with Nero 5.5, which I liked better than 6.3 that I use now. But it wouldn't see any of my newer DVD burners. And there are also bundled versions of Nero for a particular burner that may have come free with it. They may not work on any other burners.

If you have both Nero and Roxio on the same computer, that has caused problems in the past.

About the only other thing I can think of is the uninstall, clean and reinstall of Nero. If that fails, make sure you have the latest Nero version and even consider going back to an earlier version of Nero. I still use 6.6 with my newer Sony drives and have no plans to upgrade.

Good deal Sometimes different programs don't work and play well together. I suspect Nero 7 may work also in the absence of Roxio. Maybe old conflicts are still active. But I would be happy if it's working properly at this point and go with it.

I only use Nero Burning Rom anyway. The rest Nero tries to do is generally done much better by separate programs.
