    I'm looking for a cute little tool to organize my VCD collection. Right now I'm using a simple excel sheet to put down title, length, video size, format, actors and stuff - but I'm looking for a more comfortable way. Any hints?

    there is a nice little program called "Whereisit" it works great for all sorts of data and you can do quick searches on it too.
