Basically what I said in the subject. I'm trying to capture some footage at 60 fps and I'm wondering if simply adjusting that setting in virtualdub will do the trick.
Thanks

Yes it should (on analog sources) with exception like DV. A quick 30 sec. test will answer your question.

Oh I'm sorry, I meant capturing video from my camcorder (DV?). Does that mean it is determined by the camcorder?
Thanks in advance -
DV format over IEEE-1394 is a 1x speed stream. The frame rate is determined in the camcorder hardware and is always 29.97 fps for NTSC (480i) or 25 fps for PAL (576i).
The analog outputs are at the same frame rate as the digital outputs. -
Yes, the camera or other DV source sets the framerate, etc. When you tranfer it, you are just getting an exact copy of what's on the tape.

Sorry to be a bug, but does that matter if I am capturing live with virtualdub verses capturing to the tape and then transfering?
Thanks -
If I understand your question correctly; The camera is going to convert it to DV spec whether it tapes it or passes it through. DV is interlaced, are you trying to get progressive format?
