Hi everybody!
I've just bought the LSX-MPEG Plugin (v1.2) and I've got a problem doing VBR MPEG2 files.
I've been trying to SVCD encode 2001:A Space Odyssey. This movie has a long section right at the start which has only music, no picture. This continues for about a minute or so before the MGM Logo Screen appears.
No matter how high I set the min.bitrate in the LSX encoder, I still get a lower value (according to BitRate viewer) of around 150kb/sec! This causes my Pioneer DV-444 no end of problems and the audio gets very choppy until the first picture appears (the MGM logo) and everything is fine.
I conclude that first, my DV-444 hates low video bitrates and second, LSX-encoder doesn't 'pad' the video bitrate so it doesn't drop below my specified value.
Anybody got any ideas?
