    Hi All,

I've got a number of .mp3 files and one associated .nrg file (opens with nero) in the same folder.

The .mp3 files are relatively small (approx. 1500KB) and each files properties box says it has a bitrate of 80kbps. As a consequence the songs are low quality and 'tinny'.

However, the .nrg file is 100,000KB.

I don't want to burn the .mp3 to disk, I just want to put them on my mp3 player. Is there a way to improve the bitrate of these mp3s using this .nrg file?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Aaron

Probably not. The .nrg is probably the data portion of the original CD, and is either Extended CD data (pictures, text, games, other multimedia)... or something else. But there's most likely nothing there that'll help you improve the bitrate/quality of the MP3 files. The quality's already been removed.
