I'm a little suspicious of just opening a zip file, can you explain what it is? So the only way to do this, is I would have to install a program. There is no way to just do this in winxp?

Not that I know of, although that means little... Often it is the keyboard manufacturer who will bundle additional software with their product that allows you to do what the software I linked to above does. If you want something more mainstream, google "Autohotkey"

    go to your favorites folder
right-click the shortcut to the site and choose properties
on the "Web Document" tab, click in the box for "Shortcut Key" and press the key on your keyboard that you want to be the key for that site.
    click Apply and then OK
now when you press Ctrl+Alt+H, your site will open.

you might try using the numeric keypad keys instead of your alphanumerics
