Hello, I just bought a replacement for my old JVC SVHS recorder, it was old but mighty till it was finally was costing me too much to love  I just found a 6600 and am hoping that someone has a manual or some info about it.
I had purchased a new JVC SVHS and it just doesn't compare to my oldie.

Any help will be much appreciated!

I looked on the JVC website and found the following link:

    http://books.jvcservice.com/booklist.asp?Model=HR-S6600EK

That link has a PDF file which is the manual for the JVCR HR-S6600EK

I'm guessing this is the same model you have (I couldn't find a HR-S6600U).

    Hi Again,

I received the recorder from the Ebay seller and it has arrived in pretty good working condition. It was making a pretty loud clicking in FF and reverse and a slower, softer clicking in play ( I don't remember that from my original set). It does, however; play extremely well, now I remember what I have been missing and why I always felt the new player was somehow lacking.
Thanks for the info about the possible manual on the JVC website, unfortunately it is not the correct one. I hope I can buy a copy from someone on this site.

    Thanks for the help!
