Anyone use Canopus ADVC 700 convertor?

I need to know if its work proper,
from DV to component with RS422 remote control.

What VTR do you plan to use? I've seen it used with Betacam SP and older U-Matic Sony decks (internal TBC models) but mainly as source decks for DV capture.

The video quality good? conversion from DV to Component and from Component to DV ?
The timecode from PC edited Timeline to Beta or from Beta to PC transform proper?

I've used it on systems capturing from Betacam and UMatic to DV, not the other way. I didn't set it up but it worked fine controlled from Premiere Pro and Edius.

I don't know if they had installation problems. The system I was using had the jog/shuttle hardware controller. I forget the manufacturer name.

For DV to Betacam, seems to me manual cue and start is about as good. Unless the deck is remote.
