Is there a way to set it up to work the safest way without crashing like nero dvd rom? Like changing the speed or something?

The way to stop Nero crashing is simple: stop using it altogether for anything other than burning
    If in doubt, Google it.

If it is crashing it will be for one of three reasons

    1. It is poorly written crap
    2. It is not installed correctly, or the installation is corrupt
    3. It is clashing with something else on your system

The best way to address it is through Nero support. You could also try uninstalling or re-installing, however I suspect that the real reason is reason 1, and no solution short of removal will solve your issue.

It is also worth noting that todays software is incredibly complex, often made up of literally millions of lines of code. There is not such thing as perfect code, and the occasional crash it to be expected. If you put a little effort into looking at the situations where these crashes arise, you will often find that there is a cause. Knowing this will at least allow you to avoid these situations in the future, even if it isn't a fix. NeroVision does not handle (amongst many other things) VBR MP3 audio very well. While usually the result is audio sync problems, some versions are known to crash when trying to process it. Look for common threads in the type of video you are encoding when things do crash. Of course, if it crashes all the time, there isn't much you can do.

Well it worked before on the same sort of files, but then didn't. I found that you have to use Burn-at-once to fix this sort of thing...man why can't they make things simple.
