As I am near completion of my DVD, I am doing some tests and now realizing that at random compiles, some elements will go missing. For instance, one menu will not show the highlights while another will (although both set up the same). Or a thumb gallery wont show the thumnails..just the background (even though the previous compile showed properly).

    Has anyone come across this??????

Well, in DLP, I will first test a menu by clicking the play button (to get an idea of what the menu highlights will look like and what will be selected as default button). And strangely, everything is ok at this point. Then, I will do a test on PowerDVD as well as on my standalone player. Usually, the PC and standalone unit will give same results.

One of the most obvious 'something's wrong' is the default button. The item I set as first button gets highlighted first when playing the menu inside DLP but doesnt when doing this after a compile.

Interesting fact, i only began having this problem after implementing a solution proposed by GeorgeW, so that after a movie played, its appropriate thumb would be highlighted when the DVD returned to the menu. I used a PRE after abstraction of GPRM2 = SPRM8 on each of the movies that were part of the gallery. Then I added a PRE after abstraction on the thumbnail menus of SetBTN_HL GPRM2. It appears that this code has messed up the functionality of my project (i still need to do a thorough test but im 80% sure now from what I am observing).

I dont know if there's another way I could program the above functionality...I am frankly starting to wonder if I should redo the entire DVD structure. If you were to receive a bilingual DVD project (language selection as Root menu), would you set it up so that each menu has 2 cells: 1 for english and 2 for french? i didnt set it up that way because I feared I might hit a unit that doesnt respond to cells. So right now I have all my menus listed with prefixes EN and FR, and like i said it was working so far.

Do you think you can help me out? So close to being finished....

Hi! I appreciate the link..however I am using DVD Lab Pro 2. The code is probably what I would need but I dont know which part of that tutorial covers what I a attempting to do. Its mostly about a PLAY ALL which is not what I am trying to achieve.
