I'm looking for a new camcorder and have had my eye on this one for quite some time. I'm on a very limited budget. I'm looking to stay close to $500, definitely not over $600 including shipping. I have used the PV-GS400 extensively at my church and have been pleased with the results. I'm sure the 300 is comparable. So is there something better I can get for that same price or should I go with this one?

I'm looking for a 3CCD camera, so I'll go with either the gs180 or gs300. Can anyone recommend a good external mic to go along with it for $100 or less.
