I watched a VCD movie and was impressed about the quality. It was not a commercial disk. Also, a bug in my standalone DVD player was hardly noticable. I would like to know which encoder was used to create this movie and all the settings necessary.
Which program can tell me the encoder that was used and the settings, e.g.: bitrate, VBV buffer, GOP structure, Quantize matrix.
Maybe you guessed it by now, I use TMPGEnc.

bitrate and VBV buffer will tell you Bitrate Viewer. If you have a full version, it will tell you the GOP structure as well. Otherwise use ReMPEG to see the GOP structure of each GOP.
