    I used to use uLead Media Pro but the MPEG2 (DV is source) is rather jaggard when there is fast movement. Plus I hate the fact that when I do a batch convert (20+files) it does not keep the original file name and append something different, so I have to manually rename all 20+ files.

    Any suggestions, commercial or otherwise? (the MPEG2 will be used with Nero Vision to make up DVDs)

    Have you tried the Mainconcept encoder? Its one of the best and fast too.
