    i have these two avi files and i want to make it into one big avi file?


    Can anyone help me with this or tell me a program to do this

    Hrmm... I'm not sure if you can do this with virtual dub or not, I'd have to look. I remember a long LONG time ago when I didn't know anything I use to use something called pec's power joiner, it was pretty simple and straight foward.

    VirtualDub can do it - but both parts must be identical (frame size, frame rate, video bitrate, video codec, audio codec, audio bitrate). This restriction applies to all attempts at joining (without reencoding)

    VirtualDub can do that. I use VD Mod most of the time. Open the first file, then append the second to it, save with Direct stream copy. Both files have to have exactly the same settings.

    BTW, if you are planning to make a DVD from them, don't put them together, encode separately, then add both into your authoring program and let it do the 'joining'. That avoids a lot of sync problems.
