    Hello all,
I'm trying to make a DVD with the top 50 music videos of 2006 and I'm not sure where to start. I have DVD Architect 4.0 right now and would like to use it if possible.

What I would like to do is have the DVD automatically start playing from the beginning right through to the end, as 1 video. But I would also like to be able to select any video from a list of chapters or move through the chapter by clicking the next button, like you would on a regular CD to select songs.

Right now all the videos are separate items. Do I have to combine them into 1 video first? Or can I just add all of them separately?

Also, how do I make the menu/chapter structure?

Any advice/help on this is greatly appreciated,
    Thanx for now,
    Cheers,

    Hi ziggy1971,

    Welcome to the forums.

First off, all your video items need to be in a DVD compliant MPEG format before you try to author them.

Use the latest version of GSpot on your files to check their details, and refer to "What Is... DVD" at the top left of the page for specifications.

I don't know DVD Architect, but most good authoring tools will allow you to add seperate files - so no need to attach them all together as that will (should / can) be done during authoring.

I would hope that the help file, supporting documents and (if there is one) some kind of forum or guides on the tool's site will cover something simple like creating a menu and chapter points.

Different tools do it different ways, but it shouldn't be a difficult thing to do. Maybe even have a play and learn by trial and error - it's a good way to learn.

There's a guide here too: https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=547#547 - Guides are located underneath the page for the tool, if it's listed on this site. Always a good place to look.

    Good luck.
