WRONG DISC msg with New COBY TF-DVD 7107..pl help

I have a just bought COBY TF-DVD 7107 thro Amazon. To my shock whichever DVD or MP3 or VCD i put inside IT shows this error . " WRONG DISC" I have also unplugged and used it AFTER several hrs..still the same problem. i have also used Other REGION Disc..stil the same WRONG DISC Msg. Can you pl provide guidance to make it work/playable . TIA

I would exchange it. If it isn't reading any disc, then there is some sort of hardware or firmare issue.

i have a coby as well and recently gave me wrong disk error as well , with any burnt disk , that previously used to play . it would play oringinal disk . i eventually found this to be the problem
the bit that actually spins the disk can actually move to an incorrect position , more likely than not downwards , so putting the disk too close to the lens. I found by having the top level with the steel pin thingy , it would again read all disks . Eventually i super glued this in place . Supplier said it was caused by misabuse so would not cover by warrenty.
