Sorry not sure where to put this.
Have just bought a Toshiba DVD Recorder in the states (Toshiba D-R5SU/D-R5SC)-although the recorder itself only says D-R5.
I need someone to please tell me how to reset the region code to "O" - I have looked on the search and cant find anything.
Hoping that someone can help me......thanks

This page on "DVD Hacks" on the left side menu "Lists" in this forum shows none for your model.

It's better to research first and then buy. -
I'll move you to our DVD Recorder Forum where you may get more answers.
EDIT: After reading your post and title a second time, I'm wondering if you are asking about the DVD media? Burned media doesn't usually have region coding, unless it was put in for some reason. Region settings are for playback and to discourage copying of commercial media. If you are asking about playback, then someone here may have some ideas.
And welcome to our forums. -

Did you ever find a code to unlock that machine. I just got one and have had no luck searching for a code to reset the region. Thanks.
